I learned how to write a haiku when I was in grade school, but only recently have I begun to see what a wonderful force of poetry haikus are. I love the way that the form requires a writer to carefully consider his words in order to find the ones which will fully express his desired sentiment in just seventeen syllables.
There are no promises that all of these haikus will adequately find those words, but here's to trying once a day.
